KEY FEATURES

  • Solid or stranded copper and XLPE insulation, with PVC inner sheath and an overall tape screen plus drain wire.

  • HDPE inner sheath and polyamide intermediate sheath; galvanized steel wire armour or aluminium wires for single core cable.

  • The construction table gives layer diameters, overall diameter limits and approximate weight for the listed core and conductor combinations.

SELECTION NOTES

  • Specify core count, conductor class and size, screen/drain requirements, armour material, route and quantity. Agree screen termination and armour bonding separately.

  • For drives or EMC-sensitive circuits, confirm the required screening performance, termination design and fault duty with BURY CABLE; an overall screen alone does not establish a specific EMC rating.

  • Check load, voltage drop, installation conditions and chemical exposure. The stated -20 to 60°C operating range and 90°C maximum conductor temperature are separate limits.

FAQ

What is the overall screen?

Aluminium/polyethylene tape with a tinned copper drain wire, as specified in the construction.

Is the screen the same as armour?

No. The screen and drain wire form a separate layer from the wire armour and require their own termination design.

What armour is used for single core cable?

The stated single core construction uses aluminium wires; multicore construction uses galvanized steel wires.

Is this automatically suitable for every variable-speed drive?

No. Confirm the drive requirements, cable length, screening performance and termination arrangement with BURY CABLE.

Does the flame-test reference guarantee circuit integrity?

No. IEC 60332-3-22 is the listed flame-retardance reference; fire-resistant circuit integrity requires separately confirmed performance.
